Thoughts and Happenings

Thoughts & Happenings 7/16/16

living lighter thoughts

It’s already the middle of July, I can’t believe it! When I realized yesterday that there are only two weeks left of Maggie and Joshua’s summer vacation, I panicked a bit because I am not ready for them to start back with lessons yet! While I have most of their fall curriculum technically planned, I do not have things literally ready to go, so I have some work to do. I’d love to be done by the end of next week so I can relax for the last bit of July, so I guess I better step back from the blog until then!

I’m feeling the urge to be productive (probably because I’ve done so little in the last three weeks!) and one thing I definitely need to work on is photos. I have some digital organizing to do on the family computer as well as my laptop, and I want to begin ordering prints once everything’s organized. I think I’m caught up until about March (April?) so it’s not a whole lot, but if one considers just how many photos we’ve taken since Elizabeth’s birth…oh my, there are a LOT of prints needing to be ordered!!

And, the house…I am doing pretty well on keeping up with basic housework (with Maggie’s help) but I would really like to organize/declutter a little bit in the coming week.

Anyway, those are three things that need my time. :) I’m thinking that maybe by having multiple tasks, I can stay motivated by alternating between them! That’s the theory, anyway – we’ll see how it turns out in reality, lol.

What are you going to be working on this weekend and/or next week?

  1. Sorting out very old photographs is something I have been doing lately as well, scanning them into my drop box and getting rid of the printed versions as they take up so much space. New photos of course are digitized and only need to be printed for special things such as sending a family calendar or putting up one more recent family pic etc., It is good to declutter.

    1. My daughter and I still like keeping albums with photos so we order prints regularly, but everything is digitized, too, which makes it easy to email to family and such. :)
      I *love* decluttering!
