We went to the pediatrician for Elizabeth yesterday to see what they had to say about the extra fat roll on her thigh (since it sometimes means a hip is dislocated). The doctor saw the asymmetrical roll but didn’t feel anything out of the ordinary, and she said they usually do feel a little something if there is a problem, but they are sending Elizabeth for an ultrasound just to be safe.
After the appointment, we went to a friend’s house for the afternoon. We dropped Maggie off at the library nearby first because she had some research she was wanting to do for a (historical fiction) book that she’s writing. My friend has an eight month old so we talked baby much of the time while the older kids played. Joshua was on cloud nine since he brought my laptop (and his tablet) along so he and his friend could play different games together. And Samuel was thrilled with a large variety of new toys – and a playmate his age – to enjoy for a few hours.
I had a boost of confidence while we were there. My friend asked me where I got the cute headband that Elizabeth was wearing. :D Well, it was one of the ones I made! She asked if I sell them. :D :D We then talked about the possibility of me doing Etsy and how, as I’ve been researching, I have found out that there’s more to it than meets the eye. Like, legal/tax stuff that I don’t want to get into. Blah BUT, there are a lot of other possibilities because our area has many craft fairs, market days, etc. that I could get involved in. So, currently the plan is that I’m going to work on building up my stock for a while and then next summer I’ll begin booking venues for the fall. I’m so excited!
I’ll have to write another post about all the things I’m planning to make/sell because right now I have to get going as I have just about an hour until the kids get up for the day and I want to get some stuff done! TGIF ^_^
