My current brow pencil (by Maybelline) bit the dust last week when I was attempting to sharpen it one last time. It was tiny and I should have seen it coming, but it still shocked me when the tip broke off and it couldn’t be saved because the end got stuck in the sharpener. Anyway, I needed a new one. So I went to the store. I’d planned on buying the same brand that I have been using for the last couple of years, but while browsing the beauty aisles, I found a few brands of brow pencils that were significantly cheaper than my regular. I bought one by Wet N Wild (which I’ve yet to try) and one by e.l.f. The reason I haven’t tried Wet N Wild is because I opened e.l.f. first and am in love with it!!
I don’t have terribly needy brows, but they do benefit from a little help, especially near the ends where hairs are somewhat sparse.

I really had no idea what to expect from the new pencil because the tip is completely covered by a white cap (a mistake, if you ask me). When I opened it, I was definitely surprised to see that it is a twistable pencil, with no sharpening necessary!
And then I used it and was further impressed. The tip is soft, and it “writes” like a fine pointed crayon. The pigment is wonderful, too. The only thing that is still to be discovered is the length of the pencil since I cannot see inside (and I don’t want to risk messing up it’s twistability by over twisting).
It goes on smoothly and the brush on the opposite end blends the marks really nicely. I will absolutely be repurchasing this brow pencil! I paid $2 for it instead of the normal $7 I was spending on a product that I didn’t even really love but had thought necessary at the time!
P.S. This is not a sponsored post. I am simply sharing my experience because I think it might benefit someone.
